What do you need help with?

Why do I sometimes see a mouse cursor, and the app doesn’t see my track pad input?

Each application, except the Launcher Application itself, can be in either cursor or selector mode (settable via the system control panel).  Press the menu button to get the system menu:

Scroll down to Input Mode, select, which brings up this:

Select the mode you want.

Also, the multi-function button (button closest to your right ear) is configured by default to toggle between the 2 modes.

All start out by default in selector mode - the optical track pad on the temple or SAM generates track pad (DPAD) up/down/left/right events.  Apps designed to detect those events for normal operation are easiest to use we believe.  In cursor mode, mouse x/y events are generated, and touch events as needed.

Some off-the-shelf apps that expect touch input do not see trackpad events, so cursor mode can be used to click on the App's UI.  On the R-6, the mode for each app is persisted, so if you find an app is in cursor mode, it was set that way during last use.  You can switch it out of that mode, and it will be remembered. Unfortunately, the R-7 does not remember or persist state (known issue we plan to fix next release).

Where in the system control panel can I change this setting? Is this control for each application? Can I set this from within my application and change it when necessary?
